Counterparts, Eskimo Callboy and We Are The Empty brought out great albums.

I watched you burning every bridge, then blame the smoke for your eyes burning.

Wilderun - Veil of Imagination won it for me. I have to say that November was an incredible month from my perspective since it dropped some of my favourite albums of the whole year.

1. Valiant Hearts

2. Voyager

3. Mechina

4. Nucleust

5. Sunless Rise

HMs: Dead/Awake, Rising Insane, Jake Howsam Lowe, Despised Icon, Upon Impact

A pretty strong month, but there weren't too many great metalcore releases. Lots of good ones, sure, but nothing that would impress me in any way. Voyager, Mechina and Sunless Rise all three came back with great releases so it's worth anyways. I was pleasantly surprised by Valiant Hearts as well, at first I thought their 2018 album was better, but after around 10 full listenings I am no longer capable of even thinking this way.

I ended up loving the Turnover album quite a bit. Sleep Token and Royal Coda were pretty good too.

I went with Valiant Hearts as my AOTM cuz everything they make is a straight banger, but in all honesty I've been jamming to the new Our Last Night and Breathe Carolina releases more than anything.

Overcome the Darkness was a pretty sweet birthday present

Obviously had to vote for Counterparts because NLTL is great, maybe their best record to date. Other amazing releases came from bands such as Royal Coda, Hideous Divinity, Fallbrawl, Liturgy, Despised Icon, Vatican, Left Behind, Cattle Decapitation, Red Death and Dead/Awake. Shotout to some other amazing undergroud artist that released music this past month such as Frail Body (screamo), Controversial (deathcore) Hvosch (post-black/post-hc), Toluca (post-black) and OBVIOUSLY my boys in Zeta with the sweet venezuelan experimental post-hardcore

As much as i hate to admit, new Counterparts wasn't all that this year. It felt a little phoned in for me with too little diversity and lacking in their signature charm for some reason. Cattle Decapitation just dropped their best album ever and I'm so happy with it. Well worth that anxious wait!

Death Atlas, but I'm sure you knew that by now.

FUCK THE FUTURE.

FUCK ALL MANKIND.

Also: Abigail Williams, Blood Incantation, Counterparts, Despised Icon, Have A Nice Life, Sleep Token and Voyager.

A bit dissapointed that Royal Coda's album Compassion isn't on here because that was the main album I listened to from November.
Though Eskimo Cowboy had a pretty solid album, just gave Valiant Hearts a listen after seeing so many comments about it and gotta give my vote to them.

Overall,

1. Royal Coda- Compassion

2. Valiant Hearts - Odyssey

3. Eskimo Cowboy - Rehab

I easily think Varials - In Darkness was the best album this year. So cohesive and so perfect. Like Deftones mixed w Knocked Loose.
