This is awesome! Definitely in my top 10 this year. I'm not a musician or anything, but what is Post-Hardcore about this band? I always considered them to be a blend of Emo, Math Rock, and Pop Punk.

Not even close to Easycore. The early 2000s scratchy-ness to his yells validate the Post-Hardcore tag imo.

Understandable, genre doesn't necessarily matter to me with labels. TMP is great and that's what matters

So yea this is probably sitting at #1 for my AOTY list, we'll see final rankings in a couple months but holy shit. The moment I heard Swell on that leakday prior to it's release, I was blown away. The Mathy-ness, the yells, the Emo. Wasn't sure how they'd follow that up but god damn did they do it again. Tough af to pick favorite tracks, but I guess the standouts would have to be "The Midwest Sky", "Bloody Nose", "Soft Spot" and "I Can't Shake".

Onto listen #2.

Undoubtedly the band’s most audacious effort yet.

Vocally there's definitely traces of a post-hardcore inspiration. This genre is very wide and I personally feel like TMP should indeed be categorized as post-hardcore.

Edit: Polar Bear is probably the best exemple from what I've heard so far.

Also it's most certainly their best effort yet, they offer way more variety this time around. They've always been one of my favs, but this album really correct the repetitiveness flaw they had on their past albums.

This great!  Also he sings like Tom DeLonge which is nice.

it's okay for me. i kinda feel the same about it as i did with Swell; just more of the same that we already heard from Celebrate which was a great record.

Really interesting band. Shame I couldn't get passed the vocals.

Ok...so...this is BLOODY amazing!
The lyrics are godly and relatable as hell, and we all have to admit, that there is that emo part in all of us :( when we feel hopeless...in our lifetime records
Unappreciated love, friendship, you name it
Also shit goes heavy from time to time, which kind of puts them on Post-Hardcore genre, the aggression in vocals, in Polar Bear especially

Most favourite tracks: The Midwest Sky, Icicles (Morning Glow), Polar Bear, Bloody Nose, Soft Spot, I Can't Shake, Hallmark
[10/10]

Enjoyed the album as much as the 'toy-ish' cover.

I always feel nostalgic while listening to this kind of music, dunno why.
