One of their more consistent and catchy albums. I dig it a lot

UPDATE: This is one of the best Volbeat album. Pelvis on Fire is okay, but the rest of the album is GREAT!

8.5/10

You believe this is best album they've ever done?  better than Guitar Gangsters? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but come on. I'd rank this near the bottom of their discography, its got a couple of decent songs, the rest is just insipid.

@Ludes i agree. this is the most fun full-length worth of material they've had in the past 4 albums. But before they changed the line-up, all of their earlier material ripped with fast paced riffs and long, complicated guitar solos

Only good song is The Everlasting. Rest is goofy sounding shit.

Honestly this a really big letdown. I've been excited for The Everlasting since it was on their live album but that's really the only good song on it. Volbeat's always had songs I don't like but they've also generally always had enough songs I do like per album that it was worth getting that album. Not the case here.

Poor use of delay and reverb on vocals .
Uninspired vocal delivery, lyrics, guitar riffs.

If you like them or the genre of Dad Metal then this might be the album for you.

Been listening to this since it came out and having a real difficult time figuring out just how much I like it.  At first nothing was really clicking with me, but the more and more I listen, I'm finding that I suddenly like this song, and suddenly start enjoying that song more.  It seems like Volbeat albums always have to grow on me a bit... which is odd because they aren't really complicated listens.

Problem is none of these songs are great IMO.  Volbeat is usually good for one or two songs an album that hit me right away and don't let up... nothing like that here, but I think all but maybe two or three songs are somewhere between good and very good.  Which probably makes it a more consistent album than the last few, but lacks the high points.

Also, Pelvis On Fire sounds like a bad early demo of Sad Man's Tongue or something.  Very different songs but an undeniably similar sound to them.
