oh boy, this sounds like a retro dance track. as soon as it started, my old lady just goes "ew". not big on the first listen. this album is definitely diverse like the s/t they mentioned was the influence

didn't like blame it on my youth but it grew on me, generational divide was classic blink / 90s skate punk era sound, happy days was so meh it bothered me but this, i dunno, it's not horrible.

 

i get that they said it was going to be like the s/t which was 'experimental' but this doesn't sound so much experimental as it does kinda lackluster...still hoping the full album can tie ALL THE SONGS together nicely.

... That is my point.

Mark went off to do Simple Creatures which started off as wanting to try and do something different to blink.

Now blink is being fed Simple Creatures influences which Mark even admitted he was trying to do a month ago in an interview.

My whole issue with this is now they don't sound any different. blink and Simple Creatures are now just a part 1 and part 2 of the same sound rather than being separate.

the only good thing so far, is they originally had only nine songs on it. going back 2 1/2 months ago.  they were in the studio very recently and added a few more tracks

Not what i expectet, but i like it! The verses are not that good, but holy hell, the choruses blew me away... so melodic!

I like it! And with Generational Divide and Happy Days i think we get a cool blink album!

 

But i prefer the old blink sound (Dude Ranch will always be my favorite)

The only reason generational divide is behind this one is that it's so short. Anyways this song is good, and super catchy. After one listen it's in my head.
