Everything in this song seems so patched up and forced. Don't really like how Kellin's voice sounds a single bit on the song. Safe to say all the remaining hype I had for the new album is dead.

Pretty solid honestly. I don’t think they need to be even remotely heavy to be good, sincere I’m a big fan of their album Madness. This feels a bit forced, but the song writing could’ve been muuuuch worse. Pretty cliché lyrics at times but still better than single 1 by a mile

I liked Madness just as much as With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear. I get the people who had a problem with them going poppy because its not a genre they generally listen to or prefer but musically, they were still good. This just feels like someone pressurized them to write heavy stuff and Kellin's voice is a huuuuuuuuuge factor the band blew up in the first place, the distortion and processing on the track totally kills his voice for me and holds back a lot which the band has to offer.

Let me fill you in on this backwards logic. People are picky generally. The majority would say "they dont sound like themselves" because of genre change and decide to hate it. Being "forced to sound heavy" is just trying too hard to do something different, but keeping it the same style like everyone has heard before, and then call it generic

 

Honestly I don't give a fuck about any of it as LONG as its not extremely terrible nobody would like unless you are a new fan of a band, not calling names. But you get what I mean cause yes I would to call in bullshit but just try to keep your view on it. Thanks for taking the time

In all seriousness though, these guys need to just find a sound and grow. Instead, they keep letting themselves be pulled back and forth between fans that want them to be heavy for some reason (lol "heavy") and selling out and being poppy af.

 

Never enjoyed this band. Kellin's big fuckboi ego ruons their potential. He's too concerned with being the hottest news in the scene or pleasing fans instead of making music from the heart.

 

Throw in some cliché af cringey lyrics and some forced attempts to be heavy and you get this mess of a track. Saying it was way better than the last one is not even a compliment. 

 

Hard pass from me. Naturally, I check out their singles here and there to see if they ever stop being mediocre scene girl poster-on-wall boys, and naturally I'm always disappointed.

 

Cheers to anyone that somehow enjoys this though. To each their own.

Just because it is "heavy", doesn't mean it is good lol. I hate Madness and didn't even listen to Gossip, but this mess is pretty far from the quality we had in Feel or Let's Cheers to This.
