I voted for State Faults, but other than that release, I really enjoyed The Callous Daoboys, This Gift Is A Curse, He Is Legend, Thank You Scientist and Cave In.

Nothing on that poll is AOTM material

My AOTMs:

1. Caged Existence - The Burden of Purpose

2. Spiritbox - Singles Collection (I know this only half counts)

3. Hatchie - Keepsake

Poppy - Choke was surprisingly decent as well but has been a quiet month

1. Jonas Brothers - Happiness Begins

2. Motionless in White - Disguise

Just for this month its just 2 albums that interested me. I cant even do a top 5 for the month (and hardly  a top 10 list for releases so far) cause the albums I want don't release until fuckin August or further in the Fall like dammit I just want new Slipknot and Tool already

Another rough month, but still some decent releases

1. The Dangerous Summer - Mother Nature, the more i listen this album, the more i love it. Some songs have such a special vibe. I suggest you give a second listen to this album.

2. Panic Division - Touch

3. Chase Atlantic - Phases

4. Motionless in White - Disguise

5. Imminence - Turn The Light On, i know this came out in may, but i discovered it this month, and man, what an album. I've rarely heard a post-hardcore album with such good instrumentals. Also, it's not like there was another album to put in my top 5 for june

In terms of albums, Disguise was good.

In terms of singles, the best thing was coldrain.

of all of these? UABB was probably the one I enjoyed the most

from what I’ve heard of Schlagenheim though that album is next level, just haven’t peeped the full thing yet

didn’t enjoy disguise much at all but I’m absolutely not a MIW fan so that’s not surprising

This month was kind of disappointing or maybe I'm not looking for new music hard enough.

Motionless in White - Disguise
a crowd of rebellion - Black_24:
Jonas Brothers - Happiness Begins

Extras:
ZUTOMAYO - Imawa Imade Chikaiwa Emide

I’ve listened to very little other than Disguise. Great album. Nothing this year is close, never mind this month.

MiW deserves it, it is legit their best album yet and a lot of the songs are very catchy and have great choruses. Other good releases include As Cities Burn, He is Legend, TYS, Chon, Cave In and Caged Existence.

That Panic Division album is straight up perfection. Still jamming it everyday and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Without a doubt it will end up in my top five of the year and honestly can easily see it being #1 with the amount of enjoyment I've gotten from it.

I listened to the Chon album literally 60+ times, so my vote went there

There was zero competition against Thank You Scientist's Terraformer for top June release.  I think that album is untouchable by everything else that was released.  Although some of the other records I enjoyed were Clairvoyant by State Faults and Chon's ST.

Voted for UABB because grooves, my favorite album from this month was Serpent of Gnosis. Annotations of an Autopsy, This Gift Is A Curse, Comrades, The Callous Daoboys, State Faults, The Convalescence and Ingested released great stuff too.

Shotout to the underground gems such as This Is Not Utopia, GOSG, Senza, Fuming Mouth, Mtxs and Arcane Ghosts

Wow, are you serious? Motionless in White? 9 out of 10 times it's always the worst album that wins album of the month, I will never understand humans.

Art is subjective, the most popular artist always wins aotm, etc etc

honestly sad af that most of you decide to vote for the same generic/uninspired/samey metalcore stuff. That style is so tired at this point and MIW bring nothing new to the table

But there's a reason they don't put a 4 year old's school painting in a gallery.

I bet that on average the guys that voted MIW haven't even listened to 5 albums this month.

PS: The Upon a Burning Body album title is incorrect. The title is Southern Hostility not Southern Hospitality

1. Thank You Scientist
2. Anup Sastry
3. The Ocean Cure

4. Torments

5. Spirit Healer

I'm surprised something as shallow as MIW got so high in the votings, whereas something as good and creative as Thank You Scientist is this low. Although I'm expecting the same shit to happen with this month and Crown The Empire.
