Haven’t listened to this newest album yet, but Panic Division’s past stuff is definitely wayyy more rock oriented than The 1975’s.

They were also were releasing this type of music quite a bit of time before The 1975 were even on the scene yet.

I will concede that the glowing rectangle is kinda the 1975's thing:

Graveyards' drum line sounds like She's American:

Anyways, this band is still much better than the 1975 in terms of consistency, in my opinion.

The neon rectangular / every other shape was a tumblr thing before the 1975 co-opted it and before that it was quasi popular chic home decor and before that it was in every single establishment everywhere because neon branding and signage is literally an international regularity and thus really isn’t anything close to being any artists’ trademark “thing”.

but yeah this tune bops Yeet yeet lit fam and the 1975 isnt too shabby either

i mean yeah this album is basically 1975 + louder snares, but this band was doing cheesy synth pop before it was hip

I've been listening to this band since their first release. Used to be more rock back in the day and they gradually got more and more synth pop....but they are amazing at what they do. Another great album!

This sounds more like post-hardcore with 1975s influences to me. Like Issues or DGD type post-hardcore.
