Cover reminds me of something Sworn In would do. Excited to check this out, nonetheless.

Hoping this is heavier than their last full length.

This is so much worse mixed than their previous album or two, wtf? The sound itself is quite great and this EP overall is more consistent than DA but this is arguably their worst sounding release lmao, isn't Diego like a tough guy great producer, why does this sound so bad? And the interlude is unnecesary. Hope it's just the initial rip and the actual thing sounds better overall..? I even listened to the flac lol and it's the same.

This is a great EP, but like desk said, the production seems so confusingly squashed compared to the previous releases? Aside from that though, the songwriting is so far and above Different Animals, and Myke Terry is SO much better utilized here than on that record.

Other than the squashed production and an unnecessarily long interlude though, I'm super happy with this EP.

Solid 8/10

EPs don't normally make my yearly favorites list but holy shit. I liked Different  Animals, but this is so much better. Until The End is Intake levels of a banger

Despite the rough mix, I thoroughly enjoyed this. If this is any indication of the next album (whenever that might come), I'm beyond stoked.

This got my hopes high af, then I read all the other comments.. :(

It’s different compared to their last album. Also it’s clearly not The Concept of Dreaming Vol. ll sadly haha, yet it’s somewhat heavier than their latest effort, less poppy I should say. I don’t really base my hopes on EPs because most of the time bands adjust their sound to something a little different because they know it’s just a sample somehow. Most bands experiment with eps, not saying this is experimental, not at all, but their next album could easily be much more similar to their last one, it wouldn’t surprise me.

Coming Clean and Alive are clearly the softest songs and I wouldn’t be surprised that their next album have many of those.

I'm listening to the YT stream, and assuming that the stream sounds the same as this download, I'd say the production isn't necessarily bad, but just kind of bland. The guitars seem to be pushed back in the mix and seem to be capped at certain volume and never get any louder. The vocals are obviously the focal point of these tracks, which is ironic because the uncleans aren't anything special, and the cleans are definitely step in the wrong direction. Drums are pretty standard modern djent/metalcore sounding. If they remixed this and gave the guitars a bit more room to breathe, this would definitely rip.

I disagree, those choir samples definitely give the song more variety. I feel like it would be too generic sounding if they weren't included.
