New to Silverstein, is this similar to Dead Reflections?

This is a compilation of songs off of their first four albums, I think they're re-recorded too. Their sound hasn't really changed considerably so it's not like you can really go wrong listening to this, if you enjoyed Reflections chances are you'll probably find something you enjoy here as well.

I was looking forward to this, because of the Remakes of Smile In Your Sleep, My Heroine and Your Sword vs My Dagger.

And I gotta say, they are good. The original essence was not damaged, but it sounds up to date.  I'm happy.

This is such a kick of nostalgia. Glad to be able to listen to these songs again, but re-recorded. Consider me keen as fuck

This release seemed unnecessary but definitely still interested me enough to give it a listen.

Insane that after I haven't listened to most of these songs for years by now, I was still able to sing along with most of them.

The sound of my teenage years.

I just got into Silverstein like a couple weeks ago, and now I'm obsessed.

This is great, and it came out at the perfect time.

I will love everything that this band does, but can we PLEASE get an acoustic album? Each one of their acoustic songs is absolutely perfect.

I was just wondering about these guys. Glad to know they’re still alive, but wish they wouldve done a new album

I don't know if you're familiar, but the vocalist Shane has a podcast called the Lead Singer Syndrome in which he interviews other scene/rock vocalists. That show certainly makes it seem like SIlverstein isn't dead

2 songs in, and these versions are so rad.

Glad they didn't switch it up too much, but sounds sort of like a remaster.

Solid track selection too

10/10

0/10

In all seriousness I really do like "remaster" albums when they go the full effort and don't just update the mix.

I miss a bit of the harshness of the earlier songs - and the cleans feel a bit reserved for a few of them - but I'm not complaining about having a reason to relisten to these classics.

This is absolutely fucking perfect.  I usually hate when bands re-release songs I almost always prefer the more raw underproduced versions but these are all just as good and sometimes even an improvement

Absolutely love the new recordings. Pretty sure can't wait for acoustic or live acoustic album from them soon.

Thanks! Anyone knows if the "Smashed into Pieces" on this album is the same as the re-recorded version they released on 2013?

They have at least 11 acoustic studio versions of their songs, plus the piano version of Forget Your Heart, so you can make an acoustic album/playlist with them (I've done it)

Very true. Would just love to see them do something similar to what Bayside has done with their acoustic releases.
