Andydobson12 48 REPORT POST Posted March 7 Only 8 songs 🤔 that's more of an EP 4
Burst 294 REPORT POST Posted March 7 2 minutes ago, Andydobson12 said: Only 8 songs 🤔 that's more of an EP According to somebody in the chatbox, it's a half of one album, with the other one releasing in September. Also, somebody on iTunes said that only patreons know why that album is that short. So, yeah. That's that. We may get more infos as the time passes, if it should be true. Anyways, what do I think about this "album"? Well, obviously, it's cool. Something darker again, because I felt like Fantasy Land and Soul Speak didn't really do the trick. Especially Bury The Hatchet, which reminds me of the Oak Island EP. Speaking of Soul Speak, why is it on the album? It kinda feels out of place here. They could also have put Fantasy Land on there, to make it at least a little bit longer. But hey, maybe it is really true and we get a second part of the album later on. We'll see. Overall, great album, although short. Best songs on the album in my opinion are probably The Leap, Bury The Hatchet and Castle in the Sky. 5
duck! 694 REPORT POST Posted March 7 I find it good overall, catchy, sometimes pop, sometimes heavier, riffs are entertaining, definitely a good jam Too short indeed, can't wait for more I wish they could produce more of their own music rather than covers, their creativity is always good and always on par

thespionage 105 REPORT POST Posted March 7 spending too much time on covers, not enough time on originals.
pizzaistheessenceoflife 70 REPORT POST Posted March 7 Eh, it's better than their last album. Can't beat Age of Reason and Oak Island though. I think these guys excel at the EP game for originals now, when they do albums they feel a little drawn out.

Prototype539 414 REPORT POST Posted March 7 Just finished it I liked it alot really looking forward to the other half, glad we got some original music instead of covers lol. But anyways I think this is their best stuff since Oak Island, Selective Hearing was pretty good but this one is top notch imo.

I'm unsure about fantasy land. my guess is that it was a selective hearing b-side. high hopes is a p!atd cover. you know, their commercially best song since I write sins. Generic Username 14 REPORT POST Posted March 7 1 hour ago, DreamAgain said: They will never come close to oak island again. This band is going the way of memphis may fire. Not really. There are still some heavy elements on this album. MMF has all but ditched that for an arena rock sound. I wouldn't say OLN has come even close to doing that. NieR:Automata™ 1,568 REPORT POST Posted March 7 They should stick to covers and get a better artist because I can imagine the music being just as bad and generic as the artwork 1
Brad . 62 REPORT POST Posted March 7 Never understood why anyone like this band. They're just generic and boring, sometimes going into awful cringe. 2
Adec21 409 REPORT POST Posted March 7 4 hours ago, DreamAgain said: They will never come close to oak island again. This band is going the way of memphis may fire. This is the heaviest stuff they released since We Will All Evolve, I don’t get the comparison to a band that gone drastically softer?! This sure is not as heavy as their early days as a band, but it sure is more than anything they released as a whole since the Age of Reason OLN era started.
