Kingdom Leaks & Beyond: Moving Forward

This album is a lot to take in on one listen, I really dig the eclectic sounds and unpredictability in most songs, especially the mathier/heavier parts, for a debut album this is really fucking strong, especially an indie one. Some parts do remind me of earlier DGD but I think if you doubled down on the weirder/mathier and more atmospheric/post-rock aspects, polished out the flow then the next album could be even grander. Songs like Here Comes The Fire are tops even at +7 mins long. Impressive actually.

too soon to tell, but this will probably make my top 10... a list that's full of bands that were never on my radar until this year.  can't swim, dwellings, trash boat,  silent planet, Coletta, animal jam... what a surprising year for music.   I owe most of that to kl I guess

This is fantastic. Just an awesome melting pot of so many different aspects of these genres that I love. Awesome vocals and extremely nuanced instrumentation. Great stuff.

Words can't properly express how much we appreciate you all lending your ears to us right now and all the feedback is just overwhelming right now. This album had a really long bumpy road to get to where it is today and the response thus far makes everything we overcame to get here worth it ten fold. We poured our hearts and souls into this release and it's beautiful to see it translate

@humbleledger Yup, there's existing old designs. I'm just about to update stock on BC, and adjust to a clearance price - atm we out of Small in all designs !
We are in the midst of drafting up some new designs to go along with the album soon

Hahaha yeah, bride of/Brule shirt is our best seller so far for sure. Our buddy who made our two shirts drafted that up and we loved it haha.

dude this is already one of my favorites of 2018. on my third listen since yesterday. (you've made yourself) perfectly clear is a banger. love the longer tracks as well.

Hahahaha - I can't remember if it was in the vocal stems or just a bounce we got when tracking, but we thought it was so hilarious n kept it in as a gag. Live that pause lends to people shouting "What the F***!?!?!" or other hilarious things from the crowd! There's a few other tiny gags like that on the album, that one being the most obvious.

holy shit is it 2010 again? nice mix of genres, got me hooked from one minute of listening. The creativity and passion just from one song is just insane let alone a full record. Hats off to every single person that touched the making of this album, because it's gold..and I only listened to half of one song so that should tell you something.

it's honest, is what I like about it, almost wholesome.  anyone who screams like that knows that sometimes your technique is off  and it makes you cough.  I'll keep an ear out for the others now that I know... I have picked up on a few production 'quirks', like the occasional extra bass in the opening track.  stuff like that really gives these songs personality

such a dense album.  it's taking a lot of listens to really unpack this, and I'm realising its one of those things that I initially love for one reason but appreciate it for completely different reasons the more it 'opens up' for me.  

 

feels corny to say aoty already, but I've honestly enjoyed this at least as much as anything else this year.  the only release that can top it is can't swim.
