Unearth is back, and better than ever, never ever one to disappoint. Every album is a perfect 10.

Excited to jam this.  I don't think it will be their best based off the singles (songwriting is more generic, production is a little to crispy clean, and his highs have me mixed).

Regardless.  This will without a doubt be a fun, high quality, standard metalcore listen

Unearth May be the most consistent band in metalcore, everything they put out is extremely high quality. I’m still going to wait for 320 to listen.

After a full listen, this gets a 3.5/5 from me.  It's just a bit of a step back from them in many departments.  The production is too glossy and a lot of the melodic leads get burried by the chugging.  Trevors voice is a bit annoying, not god awful though.  You can clearly hear that acacia strain influence which isn't exactly a good thing.

All in all.  It's a fun listen, it's just a shame that they released a somewhat average record especially when you compare it to the rest of their discography.  I mean, watchers of rule is an easy 5/5 and one of the best metalcore albums ever made.

I really love how they went full groove for this one. Being technical is cool and all but it’s so overdone in metalcore, I really enjoy this because it’s kinda stepped back a little in the over the top technical riffs department, but when there is a good riff it really stands out. I’m (obviously) a massive TAS fan, so I think DL contributing to this album was a great decision, and you can really hear him in some parts (I mean that slowed down breakdown in Hard Lined Downfall is something straight out of The Dead Walk). Cultivation Of Infection might be one of their best songs ever as well.

Other favorites are King Of The Arctic and Survivalist.

This is great, I expected worse lol, and yeah just like some others I'm not fan of the way this thing sounds for the most part but the songwriting and delivery is top tier melodic metalcore.

Because its HOW it's produced, it's not a case of it being a low quality rip.  It's incredibly glossy and overproduced which drowns out a lot of the detail.  I enjoy the record but it's one of their worst, it's fun for what it is though.
