deftones never fail to impress do they? this has elements of the diamond eyes sound, but it's enough of a progression to stand on its own two feet... heavy as well which is a nice contrast to prayers/triangles (also fantastic)

This sounds like a combination of Saturday Night Wrist, Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan to me.

after several more listens I can definitely hear the koi influences as well throughout the track. some of the guitar work from this new song gives off "rosemary" vibes from the latter portion of the song... great to hear though as KNY is definitely up there as one of my favourite albums from the band. huge guitar work to say that steven carpenter didnt have as much input into the songwriting this time round. shockingly I've never listened to saturday night wrist properly / in full but only good can come from it right, it is deftones after all

The guitar in this song is so fucking groovy. I like this song like a lot. I'm so stoked for his album. Gonna buy it for sure. Deftones never fall to impress me, they always have something new on his songs.
