This fills my Transit void, loved Transit and these guys are very similar, just lacking that twinkly Transit had.

Really great stuff here, knew these guys wouldn't disappoint. Eyes Closed, Love and Decay, and Beautiful Places are my favorites from this after a first listen.

edit: Just listened to it front-to-back the first time. Bearings has a way of making things feel immediately nostalgic. It's a little samey like almost all pop punk-adjacent music seems to get, but I think that'll sort itself out after really digging my teeth into it. Overall, the singles (1. Where You Are, 2. Aforementioned and 5. Blue in the Dark) are probably the strongest tracks, and maybe the only ones I'd play out of context, but the stretch from 5. Blue in the Dark -> 8. Hear Me Say is absolutely pleasant. it's not quite AotY dark horse material but I neeeeeded this <3

had never listened to them before. overall this is a generic album with not much standing out

 

pretty good: where you are, blue in the dark

 

ok: eyes closed, love and decay

 

the ok songs are growing on me tho
