Jeez. So many great tracks on this so far. Love how these guys bring such a creative element to pop. That’s a hard thing to do. Chlorine and The Hype are PERCECT.

very much so! i just had a fear that the rest of the album wasn't going to be of that quality or filled with.. well, filler. i'm just glad to know that i have been proven wrong :)

Hoping the rest is better than the singles-- didn't really like them all that much.

Conclusion

Far better than Blurryface. Maybe just behind Vessel. Fantastic album.

Slappers:

My Blood

Chlorine

Neon Gravestones

The Hype

Nico And The Niners

Cut My Lip

Pet Cheetah

Neon Gravestones is the best song Tyler has ever written lyrically. The Hype is top 5 overall TOP songs of all time.

I wrote up a huge page of notes about this record but basically in short

fucking wow

they actually pulled back from that harsh turn they were taking into the deep mainstream and came back with one of the most captivating and interesting pop records i've heard in a VERY long time

This album doesn't have alot for me. Whilst the lyricism is good, each song seems to blur into the next with no discernible difference between songs. Just the vocalist doing some low key rapping with some emphasis on words with a basic drum beat in the background.

Not a record for me unfortunately.

If you're looking for Blurryface 2.0 then you're in the wrong place, this albums would be closer to a Vessels 2.0 but even that is is a stretch, either way I think this is by far their most mature album to date and it might even be their best album yet. I can really tell just how Josh and Tyler have grown both musically and as people and I'm excited to see how the public receives this album because it definitely is not a very mainstream sound aside from a couple songs (i.e. My Blood, Legend) but I'm super excited to see them next month

This is a horrible album for me. I guess probably becasue I loved Blurryface and didn't care much for earlier albums outside of a track here and there. It just all sounds so sleepy and boring. Jumpsuit, My Blood, and Chlorine go to my TOP playlist... the rest goes to my recycle bin.
