I'm really going to have keep expectations in check too, since Drift is what finally got me to check them out, and I've been replaying Impulse and Augment ever since.

Huge feels in Expiate, that Chorus is just soo damn good, as is Monolith.

'Who we were will never be the same, We'll never relive the feeling.
Love we made, we let it slip away,
And I just can't face it'

Quick ? for anyone actively listening. Is the quality representative of the preview? Or is it better?

Hmmm, it definitely sounds better? less static but I could be wrong? definitely not 320kbps regardless.

Not 320 but it still sounds fantastic. I have been waiting since last fall for this album. Just finished the album, it lives up to my expectations and hype.

I’m waiting for the hate comments, here, sitting on my throne. JT really use his range way better on this one, I remember a comment saying he misses the vocals JT had on Texas In July. I think it’s pretty close to his best studio performances so far. He doesn’t have the range Garisson had, but he’s always one the most reliable vocalist for his vocal techniques. He has a really good breathing technique, he doesn’t choke live like most vocalist. He has the same screaming  rhythm he has on studio recordings which is rare.

It's Drift part 2, but not in the way you think it is. Erra carried over the sound they created with Drift and flipped it on it's head in a way that keeps this album sounding super fresh. They explore sounds and elements that remind me of Augment but in the style of Drift which together creates Neon, and it's incredible.

I like Drift a lot but this runs circles around it, so good.

Hmm, from the first few listens I think that both the overall production, the way the vocalists sound, the flow of the songs is a big improvement over Drift, but at the same time I feel like a lot of the moments in songs blur a bit and it still lacks the variety and punch the first two albums had, but man some of the ideas here are golden. Love Monolith, Valhalla, Ghost Of Nothing and Expiate, they seem to have the most interesting stuff going on in this album. Closer is a bit lackluster, and some songs like Disarray or Signal Fire bore me lol. I still don't know if this is a great or just a good album, but it definitely has great tracks so there's that.

Overall it's definitely cool that they released all these ten songs which have great fluidity between vocalists and the transitions between verses/choruses/bridges feel as good as ever, but damn when I heard the intro to Monolith I instantly knew I wanted to hear them going all out on certain concepts, the darker tone of both Jesse's vocals and the darker, more ambient instrumental is just too good to pass up, instantly reminded me of stuff like Thornhill - Temperer, or plenty Northlane's songs like Ra.
