The last few releases from these guys have been pretty boring and monotonous and I almost didn't check this song out.. but I'm glad I did. It indeed is a banger. Looking forward to hearing what else they have up their sleeves.

The irony is definitely this song being up there as one if their most boring tracks. It's just a lower tuned rot. 

 

They've made more interesting songs than this...come on...render? Weightless? Impulse? Are you speaking on a musical point of their stuff being boring an monotonous yet THIS isn't?

It's hilarious how much people collectively overrate this song when Mesmer and Node have better songs.  and how it just takes people to have a song without cleans instantly be "s00ps br00tal" when Mesmer had a fuckton of heavy moments, heavier even. I love this song but it's definitely not as dynamic as most of Mesmer, and Northlane themselves probably know this and cooked this up just as a nice little bonus to the fans (and haters) and when they will release another album that is heavier and darker but once again has more dynamics than this track it'll once again polarize fans, it'll be hilarious. Btw as you said, Render is a better song and it's even heavier during that crazy second verse than anything here lmao.

You're right. It's no different to their usual stuff, they've just not put a clean chorus in. It's no heavier than usual Northlane.

Why was my comment removed? Cause it was negative? I feel the same way as dwesk. its funny how people are LOVING this song when its basically the same thing they have been doing for years just with zero cleans to balance it and make it interesting. Sounds a lot like paragon. They really gotta try some new things next record. I thought mesmer had some songs that showed growth and tried new things and they were great. Ive said it before but I wish they would just join with in hearts wake again and do a full lp. I thought the equinox ep was way better than the bands are apart.
