Honestly was massively hyped for Artificial Selection, which was good... but Sunnyland was a proper suprise for me. Went into it thinking "well I may aswell give it a listen" and ended up listening another 20-30 times 😂

 

Exceeded all expectations, so definitely Mayday Parade for me

Man I don't know Gatherers are just sort of post-hardcore that's on the screamo/emo side, but just barely.

LEG is great and I like all that synthpop/dreampop/artpop shit and these girls are creative as fuck.

I was pleased with the releases this month, Mayday surprised me with their album heavily so they were easily my vote for this.

1. State Champs , I expected this to be a decent album, but after many listen i think this is a very good album.Of course, they could've done better, but in the end it's still last month's album ill listen the most

2. DGD, i've never been a DGD fanboy, but to me, this is the best album they've put out, many songs on this album are the best i've ever heard from them, Tilian is the main reason i listen them, and he's at his best on this.

Voted for Dance Gavin Dance for obvious reasons, but other GREAT releases from June were Zeal and Ardor, Aegaeon, Veld, Portraits of War, Pale (beautiful shit right there), In Chasms Deep (huge step up in their sound leaving deathcore behind) and Violent Life, Violent Death.

Ugh, June was such a good month for music! 

 

I was expecting DGD to be my album of the month but honestly, 5SOS's new album completely shocked me with how amazing it was.  I'm still trying to really get into State Champs's new album which is odd cause I was really expecting them to blow me away. It's still really good though!
