Arctic Monkeys - Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino (2018)

This definitely isn't correct. It sounds a little sped up. Maybe someone ripped off a vinyl in a poor way?

If you check the track lengths, they're not correct to what has been uploaded to iTunes already. Maybe something people should be aware of when listening to this?

@Arsid This is true, the rip is inaccurate at some points. I've added a disclaimer to the OP

i agree shikari are overrated but they still damm good

How the fuck can you agree with Shikari being underrated when it's supposed to be your favorite band. If there is one underrated band on this planet, it is Enter Shikari.

Calling Enter Shikari overrated on an Arctic Monkey thread, oh, such irony.

We get it, you don't like AM, you don't have to be a douche in the AM thread though.

This is not an Arctic Monkeys album. It truly is Alex Turner + studio band.

I don't doubt in its own right it's a good album, but having waited so long for a new AM album, this is majorly disappointing.

It's just so... slow. There's not a single more upbeat song to break up the monotony. Someone else said it's very Bowie - god yeah, it is.

AM have always been a big festival/arena staple, and I can just imagine the crowd falling asleep to these songs.

Jamie Cook (the guitarist and the only other band member who's on every track) suggested to Alex that it should be a solo album. Alex didn't want to do that, and here we are.

Thank you. Just don't want people listening to this and thinking the lesser quality is a bad album without giving it a fair chance when a real quality release comes around.

As I'm not involved into the last part, could you please rather recommend some music to have depression to?

Brand New, Counterparts, La Dispute, Touché Amoré, and This Wild Life are all recommended.

How's the audio quality on this? It's better quality than the previous phone recording of the vinyl, right?

EDIT: Yeah this is good quality. Thanks!

Guess you haven´t heard the digital clipping in some tracks... tho i dont really know if its something about the rip or the music itself

not sure if this is worth the listen. i'm not really looking for a stripped down solo attempt under the band's moniker

Well... thanks... not exactly what I was expecting, but well. Nothing can be better than AM. This album needs drugs.
