Honestly though, this is terrible, it is just bad ( in b4 in your opinion nonsense ). Sadly there is a market for this type of stuff, If I did this it would drive me to drink even more.

Comparing Alex's lyric writing from Desolation through Ashes to Self Inflicted and this is just hard to stomach. Won't even harp on the needless and awful rapping because the delivery and lyrics are just that fucking bad. Pretty hard to accept this, but it's not shocking. It sucks to see someone you admire attempting to better themselves through new music and it being...not good. I wish him good health regardless, dude basically introduced me to deathcore and gave us some damn good material over the years.

To be honest, his lyrical prowess isn’t the strongest. And the albums mentioned reflect that. I’d argue the strongest lyrics were on My Damnation since they had to fit more of a theme.

I would argue that Evolve was the pinnacle, but I'll agree that he's no Hemmingway. However, the songs have deluded to 'fuck this fuck that fuck you' and that's just pitiful.

Yeah Evolve would be runner up IMO. But I barely touch Self Inflicted. The only song I still bump is American Dream lol
