I'm pissed they waited until now to tell us Alex was gone. It's an okay song, but the new singer sounds like any other deathcore vocalist. Alex sounded unique, you knew his voice. And it also lacks the solos that also made CG stand out to me. And I find it funny Alex waited until now to release the Grudges song. Makes me wonder if he was legally bound to not reveal he was gone, which would be bullshit.

They definitely should've changed the name too. Alex was the last original member. This isn't Chelsea Grin at all.

Imma start saying Tom's definetly a better vocalist than Alex, but as others said at this point they could've just changed their name, no original members left is kinda weird.

The song itself is good, nothing stellar or new, but certainly better than the most part of CG discog to date, last album i really enjoyed was Desolation of Eden.

So i guess we should just wait and see where this goes, and more important, where will Lorna Shore go

As soon as I heard that there were no original members left and they now have on vocals; I finally decided to end my boycott of this band. If they would have started out like this, I would have never wrote them off as garbage noise to begin with.

I agree that them still calling themselves Chelsea Grin is odd, but I'm happy that their older songs I enjoy won't be laid to rest. It'll be cool to hear some classics with this new spin.  I'm also happy that Alex is doing better, and although this 'Grudges' thing is pretty embarrassing, if he's happy that's what matters. I can embrace this direction, especially after how boring I thought Self Inflicted was.

To say this not as a new act, but as 'Chelsea Grin' is a bit of a slap in the face to Alex, Jason, Dan and Michael who made this band worth anything. I hate this self-congratulatory tone these bands take sometimes.

This is not Chelsea Grin. More or less a variant of Lorna Shore. Seems too suspicious to have Tom leave LS to then join CG. And to release a new song with the departure statement with Alex on the same day. Nah. This ain't CG without Alex which was the last original member. Just a generic band with the same name.
