I love the southern hardcore/metalcore subgenre. It's so hard to find new bands with this sound these days. I've never been a big fan of Cancer Bats for some reason, but I'm glad to see they're still making music. Does anyone have recommendations of similar music that's been released in the past few years? I just discovered Greyhaven this week:

Just took time to properly listen to the whole thing and damn is it good. Nothing less than what I expected from them, perhaps even better than their last release that I absolutely loved.

It's been a little while since they've last released anything, if they are still even together at all but some good ol' Maylene and the Sons of Disaster always does it for me

Thanks, I know most of the popular ones that have been around for awhile. I made this list a few years back, if anyone else is looking for similar sounding music.

Not sure if they're classed as still together or not since the lead singer had a pretty awful incident on  an ATV and he's still recovering from it and it happened like, 2 years ago or something.

I hadn't heard anything about it, that's too bad.  I still hope they will release something again at some point as they are one of my favourite in the genre.
