So much good shit last month. Voted for Slaves due to their outstanding work in making an album that didn't sound like one big single, and finally getting the production and mixing just right. Here are some other albums I highly recommend checking out, if you haven't already:

Awolnation - Here Come The Runts

Secrets - Secrets

Thornhill - Butterfly (This should have been on trending, I'm not sure why it wasn't, but very good EP from this band)

We Were Sharks - Lost Touch

MGMT - Little Dark Age

Some honorable mentions for me were:

The Plot In You - Dispose - couldn't really enjoy this album more than 3 songs, but still pretty good and worth one listen

Don Bronco - Technology - KL hyped this album up tremendously, and although I can see the creativity that went into it, it wasn't really an enjoyable listen overall.

Dashboard Confessional - couple songs were enjoyable, the majority was....meh.

Here were the bad albums of February:

Senses Fail - If There is Light, it Will Find You  - just an overall terrible cringeworthy album, I had high hopes for it though.

Justin Timberlake - Man Of The Woods - lol

JT was the biggest disappointment for me, super high hopes coming off of The 20/20. MGMT was an awful album imo, although take that with a grain of sand since I hate that genre anyways, but thought i'd take a listen for the hell of it. I for one enjoyed Senses Fail though, maybe because i've never listened to an album by them before, so it was a cool introductory record I guess. Still haven't listened to Don Broco, AWOLNATION and Dashboard.

I just couldn't get past the lyrics on that Senses Fail album honestly, and the songs didn't really progress or sound much different. I recommend checking out their previous stuff.

1. Don Broco

2. We Were Sharks

3. For The Fallen Dreams

4. The Plot In You

5. Slaves

Don Broco is an awesome album, and exactly what i expected from them. I didn't know We Were Sharks and it turns to be one of the best pop punk album i've listen in years. February also brought me back to bands i had stopped listening like FTFD and TPIY.

Slaves, easily.

also, after listening to don broco a bunch, I still don't see the appeal (I even deleted the songs I thought I liked).

Easily Slaves for me..Finally Craig got some vocal justice on this thing, Routine Breathing was absolutely unlistenable for me and I only I only enjoyed a handful of tracks from TAWAE but this was a masterpiece, he really shone on pretty much everything. Another great of this month was definitely Michael Barr With that wonderful Revenge Ep, it's as vengeful and hard hitting as ever, I also enjoyed Aaron Carter's Love a bit more than I'd love to admit, This is as one was great also with Loathe's gritty style really being balanced well by the much softer Holding Absence.

Honorable Mentions:

The Plot in You - Dispose-(OVERHYPED, but really deserving of alot of credit)

Rich Brian - Amen (Very Decent Rap Album imo)

Traitors- Anger Issues (The fucking name says it all, holy fuck does this beat your brains to a pulp of deathcore mush)

Secrets- Secrets (I still haven't given this a good enough number of listens but I must say I am very impressed both in the lyrical content and the delivery of alot of songs on this project).

1. The Plot in You - Dispose

2. For the Fallen Dream - Six

3. The Black Panther Original Soundtrack

4. Loathe & Holding Absence - This is as one.

5. Thornhill - Butterfly EP

And my honorable mention goes to Pop Evil - Pop Evil.

Voted for Dashboard.  It's not their best but I never thought we'd get another album from them again.  If it were up to me I would've picked Brian Fallon's "Sleepwalkers".

Top 5 of the month for me:

5) Listener – Being Empty Being Filled

4) S. Carey – Hundred Acres

3) Levi the Poet – Cataracts

2) Don Broco – Technology

1) Pianos Become the Teeth – Wait for Love

also in awe at the number of jonny craig apologists on this board. i know it's important to separate art from artist but he doesn't seem like he's ever stop being a negative person, lmao. oh well.

It was a great month for Indie for sure. Biggest surprise for me was the turnaround MGMT made to straight up synthpop. Love it. AWOLNATION brings home February for me though. I can't stop listening to it.

  1. AWOLNATION - Here Comes the Runts
  2. MGMT - Little Dark Age
  3. Hovvdy - Cranberry
  4. Franz Ferdinand - Always Ascending
  5. Everything Everything - A Deeper Sea EP

Eyes set to kill aren't getting enough love. All of the members have quit with one surviving vocalist who kills it with one of their best albums to date. Really catchy at places and "Survive" has my favorite guitar riff for the month.
