Why the fuck does almost every song sound the same? I enjoyed the singles, then Elevator To The Gallows made me nut, but the more I listened to it the more I started getting bored, every song is very similar in tempo and vibe, it gets incredibly tiring. It's not a bad album but holy fuck as a whole it drags like crazy, they were much more varied and creative on their last two albums, shouldn't have abandoned that, big mistake.

On the bright side, it's still much better than the Speak The Truth Even If Your Voice Shakes album.

I have to agree.

Album itself is good, really good, long time since SF sounded this good. But on the long run it kinda bores you, song structure is pretty the same.

Buddy's lyrics are usually spot on but that green jacket song is so cringe.

 

This album does not come close to The Fire, tbh.

 

Still glad they made a new album, and ditched that sound from the last two.. just wasn't a fan even though they were well received.  Maybe this album will grow on me more, it's still better than like 99% of that crap post-hardcore coming out these days but doesn't match old SF =(
