Man, this was pretty average. I used to love these guys back in the Shadow Hearts, Vent, TOFW days but haven't followed their last couple releases. Does all their more recent stuff sound like this?

Their last 2 albums just didnt go above average to me, with ghost empire being little better than gravity. Nemesis was fire instead

This album is one of my most anticipated albums for the year. I was so excited to hear the first track. Mirroring most of the other posters though, yeah this is mediocre. They have pulled off many different sounds over the years, yet have always been so amazing, catchy and POWERFUL! This lacks that completely. Maybe I set the bar too high, cause it's Caliban. They aren't an average band, but this song definitely is. You wouldn't think Dein R3ich was performed by the same band here let alone their other gems. I'm just still in shock as a listener for so many years. Still eager to hear the rest and I'm hopeful.

But that's my personal opinion. 

I agree, i loved nemesis, and ghost empire was definitely good, but not as good as nemesis. Once in a while these guys put out an album that is a miss, then the album they put out after that not so good album ends up being pretty decent. Their albums TOFW, TUD, The awakening, say hello to tragedy was alright but not as good as what followed it. I am Nemesis was amazing.

It's a matter of fact that I Am Nemesis was the last really good album the put out, all that followed wasnt on par or was barely average.
