I worked their gig a couple of months ago and they never play this kind of stuff live, maybe 1/2 covers a set MAX out of a 15 song set.. and even those songs were the HUGE ones like Shape of You. I've lost interest in their covers but they're talented guys. These covers are actually really smart because i can tell you now, had they not produced as many covers as they have, their career would be nowhere as big as it is now. Also, their covers have the most views on Youtube when compared to their OG content. This stuff is pulled off well enough to attract more mainstream music fans. Kudos to OLN, they have an effective business strategy in a music genre that is severely struggling right now.

These guys are definitely talented, their original material is still solid too... Their covers are a mixed bag for me, but that’s no surprise when they do so many of them. Still, good for them for finding a good gimmick (for lack of a better word).

Interesting song to cover! I respect these guys as a band, but I might be biased because I reside in the neighboring state. Either way, it's not like their music sucks. After all, they have been together for 14 years now, which tells me that they are absolutely doing something right.

I am from Mass, lived 20-30 mins from these guys most of my life, i might be biased as well just wish dummies would realize they have a serious discography and arent a cover band.

You're from Mass?! No way, dude! I would have never guessed!

 

I am from Maine. We had Sparks the Rescue and Too Late the Hero break their way onto the scene. However, more often than not, I was traveling out of state to see shows. I have seen these guys live a handful of times and they always did a killer job.

I was obsessed with Massachusetts metalcore bands in the early 2000’s. If it was from Mass, it was good. That being said, I couldn’t stand these guys. I was never into the whiny stuff(My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, etc...)

Their covers are normally a guilty pleasure of mine, like, im not a fan of their original music but their covers are normally heavier and obviously catchier than their original stuff. But this song just seems like they rushed it to get it out whilst the song is still relevant. 

 

Saying this, i'm surprised that people are only just now realising that this band does these covers just to signal boost their name, i think they kind of pin-holed themselves though with this as they're still doing these covers. They need to just either admit they're a relatively good cover band and cut their original stuff out, or just become a sub-par and hopefully improve original content band.

I respectfully disagree, compared to other bands in their genre, their sound isn't anything to rave about. Their lyrics are typical relatable angst mixed with a common catchy beat. It might just be me but i just don't see the appeal.

I remember the first time i heard of these guys was when they first released their cover for "Wrecking Ball"
Ever since that day i've loved all they have composed. especially if you go back to "The Ghost Among Us" album they really started off with some bangers.. IMO
considering the two front-men are also brothers and have done this since one of them was literally 12 and the other 16, you cannot expect them to have lasted this long off of the melodic hardcore scene

I remember them prior to them releasing their covers and knowing them now... they are genius at getting their brand out. They saw the demand for "Pop Goes Punk/Screamo" covers on YouTube and they capitalized on it. I hate to say it but if it weren't for their YouTube Sucess they would have drifted off into Aiden territory. Love their original and covers. They are immensely talented.
