Wasn't a big fan of their first two albums. Time Bomb was good for sure. Hoping this knocks them out of the park.

This album kicks ass. Scumbug ( a personal highlight)  has got this thing about it that I can't explain.

EDIT: This album is fuckin' sick! The heaviness of Nu Metalcore/Industrial Hardcore with the Alt. Metal/Hard Rock influence thrown into the album works sooo well for them. I dig this sound a lotttt.

Smile was all about heavy but this album is mainly modern rock IMO i cant be the only one but does swamp sound alot like bulls on parade?

Going to wait for the actual release but stoked for this. Been playing all the singles on repeat since they released. Saw they guys live before they got big. Good band with solid music. Glad they got picked up and from what it looks like, this album is a banger.

After listening to this like five or six times, I'm so happy to say it's better than Smile, which was a really great record! These guys knocked it out of the park with this. Elijah's vocals are a really strong stand-out.

Nothingface is sooo underrated. It's a shame the lead singer died would've loved to see them live. 

As for the new Cane Hill, it's good but Smile was a lot more heavy hitting. Singin in the swamp and erased make this album for me.

I think if you took out Too Far Gone, 10 Cents, and maybe Lord of Flies this album would improve.

I also think if you were to cut down the time on a lot of these songs they would also be more listenable. I wanted to skip too many of these songs half-way through on my first listen.

Elijah either is a lazy lyric writer, or thinks that repeating the chorus 6 or more (?) times with little variation is somehow still interesting.

The music on this album is fucking great, and Elijah's singing is amazing. Maybe cut the weird underbreath singing, cause it's just not good most of the time.

 

I think they might just be doomed to being okay.

Why were you so sure about taking out the two best singles but hesitated on the worst one and then didn't even mention It Follows, which was trash imo. Personally I think most of this album is good-great with the exception of the two absolutely mediocre songs I mentioned.

I realize now I had 10 Cents and Fucking Hateful mixed up. And Lord of Flies might have been okay if it were shorter, and had more variation to it (that pretty much sums up the album).

Too Far Gone is pretty much everything I don't like about Cane Hill. Lol

Honestly I think I mentally blocked It Follows. I had to go back and make sure that song actually existed.

I take back what I said. The only worthwhile songs on this album were Singin In the Swamp, Erased, Why, and Scumbag; And even most of those are just OK.

The more I think about this album the more I dislike it. I am actually just trying to justify why it's okay.

This is their best album, still doesn't give the same impression of them that they had live, but they've improved a lot on studio and I actually enjoyed this
