Wanted to give it a chance, but still it's the same problem. Generic radio-friendly hard rock over those whiny montonous vocals. But similarly to AA, I'm not the target audience. Also, what is up with that album cover? They're not Judas Priest or Manowar lol.

I'd be more excited for new Escape the Fate but this is cool. As usual we got the jealous fanboys who think metalcore is the best genre EVER and breakdowns are life commenting on one of the best rock bands out there complaining it's radio rock. I dont know many young bands still making this kind of music and pulling it off the way they do. But hey jealousy is a bitch. I for one dont care that my girlfriend has the hots for the vocalist. Shit, if I was a girl I probably would to haha. Wish I could sing like this guy. Cant wait for this album.

First, I don't think metalcore is the best genre ever. I don't even like most of metalcore.

Second, one of the best rock bands out there, are you serious? A band like Ghost eats BVB for breakfast lmao.

And third, the fact that you said you don't mind your gf being hot for the singer and that you would be hot for him if you were a girl... Well, either that proves you're trolling or you're just a cuck.

I haven't listened to this song, but here is my thoughts on BvB as a whole.

Black Veil Brides always was just shy of being a really good band.

In their time as a "core" band, Andy really needed to not have shitty harsh vocals.

As a "rock" or "metal" band, If they just stopped trying to be Mötley Crüe, they could probably shake off that scene kid label and create something good.

 

They always had some okay songs.

The band ghost is horrible, they sound like their trying to be the cure. Everyone is afraid to like black veil brides because of the scene kid reference they get, or they get called a teeny bopper or whatever the fuck people will call ya. Everyone only knows black veil brides as a band that if you like them, you automatically get criticized for it. Which is very true, i never gave them a chance back in the day just because of shit like that. Then i play guitar hero live and had no choice but to play one of their songs, and said to myself what the hell. This is what I've been missing out on. You can put them in the same genre with whatever people consider bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet for My Valentine, Trivium, All That Remains ( now), Tremonti, and several other bands out there. Ghost their guitarist don't have shit on the guitarists of black veil brides, bvb guitarists would piss on them, same goes for the drummer, and vocalist. But then again, it's two different genre's also. If ghost tried to play BVB's genre they would fail miserably, and if BVB tried to play ghost's genre they would probably be able to do it because their better musicians. Except the vocalist of BVB i doubt could ever get that high pitched. But instruments, i guarantee they could do it.

only motley crue was never considered a scene kid band, they were considered a glam rock band or hair metal band. Which if these guys came out during that era, that's what they would be considered. It's just the labels dumb ass people these days like to put on people. Just like how the whole emo thing was around at one point. People were calling bands emo and their lyrics weren't even emo. They just judged them by the vocals or how they looked. Stupid kids these days. Black veil Brides is a Rock/Metal band, that's what i consider them as. They have a lot of good songs, and the guitarist fucking shred the living hell out of their guitars. The drummer is really good, and the vocals sound good too. And that's mostly what i look for in a band, the instruments, lyrics, and melodies of the songs.

When i said stupid kids these days, i wasn't referring to you. I was simply stating my opinion on the matter. I never said everyone likes the same music as me, and has to like the same stuff as me. And i didn't say that you were saying they weren't a metal/rock band. I understood your opinion perfectly. I'm just saying that they don't get called a scene band because they look like motley crue. They get called it for a completely different reason. There is nothing wrong with looking up to bands like motley crue, that's one of the bands i grew up on. Everyone thinks black veil brides do what they do to be like motley crue, and that's not true. There are several bands in the industry that pay respects to bands that made them who they are, bands that influenced them, and are responsible for why that band is the way it is. Then there is the fact that some bands like the whole stage act. Kinda like how Avenged Sevenfold's live show, reminds ya of going to an iron maiden concert.

In the end, i was never making it seem like i was putting you down for what you were saying. And i wasn't referring you as a dumb ass person, or one of those people that are considered a troll. i grew up in the 80's era, back when you could actually turn on MTV and see music, not dumb ass reality shows. I'm not a scene kid, or was a born in the wrong generation, and i do disagree with you when I'm saying BVB are a very talented and good band, but i do agree with you when you say their not as good as the scene kids say they are. Because they make it seem like their the only band out there, and that their better than every band out there. Their not better than avenged sevenfold, trivium, tremonti, alter bridge, parkway drive, periphery, or killswitch engage. That's my opinion
